The NIAAA preserves, enhances, and promotes the educational values of interscholastic athletics through the professional development of its members in the area of education, leadership, and service. To help further our mission with the use of new technologies, the NIAAA has partnered with Sideline Access to develop and provide to high schools in the United States free access to the NIAAA National High School Sports App. The app provides powerful tools to improve communications and will drive community engagement to local sports programs.
The features built into the app are similar to what is common with collegiate and professional sports apps, but until now has never available to the high schools on a national level due to cost of development and maintenance. We have removed those barriers with the introduction of the NIAAA app.
What Athletic Directors and the community are saying...
“Having the addition of the NIAAA app will increase our communication to our Newton Cardinal fans across the country. Connecting with alumni, parents, family, and friends is a great advantage in our fundraising efforts! Mobile communication is the future of interscholastic athletics and the NIAAA app provides high schools the tools to market our teams, increase public relations, increase our brand, and raise revenue to provide our student-athletes a great high school experience.”
"The app is easy to use and a great resource to keep your parents and community involved. Paper schedules are a thing of the past, and everyone can contribute to your Athletic Department's promotion! Looking forward to seeing how this evolves and improves as we get better at utilizing it."
"This app is so cool, even Kayne West loves it. Everything you need as a high school sports fan is just a click away. Want to know who number 37 on the football team is? Click on the team roster. Want a score from a game played two weeks ago? Click on the schedule. Want to listen to the game during cousin Sarah's wedding? There's a link for that, too. This app does everything except bring you nachos at halftime. And they are working on that feature too... Find it, Download it, Use it."
"The Greatest thing for high school sports since stadium lights"
"After much anticpation, students, coaches, parents and staff are very excited about the launch of the app. They will be able to have schedules and news at their fingertips with real time changes.”
“We’re an on-the-go society and love to have information on our mobile device no matter where a person’s located. Content will be added continually as we fully implement the app. This is the same technology that fans are accustomed to seeing from their favorite pro or college teams, and now each of our high schools will have that same app ability to offer their fans.”
